Charlie adopted me about 4 years ago when I happened to walk through my local SPCA. It was love at first sight and to this day he is my constant companion. We both enjoy hiking, especially through the Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York. Here we are on the top of Chimney Mountain on a beautiful July day last year. What a view!
But while we hiked, it always bothered me to see Charlie so tormented by deerflies, horseflies and mosquitoes so I concocted a formula that I thought might protect him and sure enough, Charlie’s Insect Repellent for Dogs does the trick. It’s all natural and non-toxic so nothing to worry about. He swears by it and that’s why I named it after him. I spray his coat and apply it to his face and ears by hand and those nasty bloodsucking flies take a sniff and quickly forget about making Charlie their next meal.
Thinking of getting a dog? Check out your local shelter first, I got a truly GREAT dog, you could too. Good luck and happy trails.
